Pearl (Pirl) Sapoznik sings Russian and Yiddish songs, accompanied by Pete Sokolow on piano and German Goldenshteyn on clarinet, at KlezKamp 2005.
Pirl, the mother of KlezKamp's founder Henry Sapoznik, has been a fixture of KlezKamp since its beginning. Lucky KlezKampers hear her sing folksongs at informal KlezKamp cabaret and impromptu lobby performances.
Here, Pirl is accompanied by two of KlezKamp's master teachers, Pete Sokolow and German Goldenshteyn. Make sure to listen for German's wonderful clarinet solo at the end of the podcast.
